Hello,

I'm Lynne, a creative junkie, lover of the outdoors and warrior on waste. I'm passionate about inspiring you to live more sustainably in a home that looks fantastic, doesn't cost the earth (literally) and that you love. I want to teach people to rethink their garden spaces, hoping they can use their gardens to grow their own food, increase biodiversity, and help the climate crisis.

My home and garden have become a showcase for my sourcing, upcycling, salvaging, styling, thrifting and growing skills and it is used as a shoot location complete with a shed full of props that I have salvaged on my travels and my “Lambo Mini Farm’ where amongst my raised beds I have definitely found my happy place.

For as long as I can remember I have been challenging the wasteful way we seem to have come to exist, challenging people to think about how their grandparents lived, back then I didn’t really know the word sustainability, it was just a way of life for me, a way of living that makes me happy. Protecting nature and the planet that I love just seemed sensible and now amidst a climate crisis, it is more crucial than ever that I continue to help people make better choices, to educate the next generation and to form a tribe of likeminded individuals and companies who can all work together for a kinder economy and preserve the Earths resources. It would seem that the way I choose to live is now called ‘sustainable’ and I try to pass on useful tips and ideas to help others wherever and whenever I can.

It all really started in 2017 when after appearing as a contestant on The Great Interior Design Challenge’ I then won Channel 4's ‘Grand Designs Live Interior Designer of the Year’. My winning room set was based on an upcycling and sustainability theme - everything was secondhand, upcycled or made from recycled materials but still looked amazing. It was a message slightly ahead of its time but something that I felt was my mission to promote, Kevin McCloud loved it, and understood my purpose and I have not stopped since.

I have worked on TV shows like Amazing Spaces, toured the nation in an upcyled double Decker bus workshop for Gumtree spreading some upcycling love and designed room sets and gardens at the Ideal Home Show, always with my sustainability message at the forefront of everything I do.

I align myself as a Sustainability Ambassador with several kind brands, brands working hard to change the way they do business to be kinder to the planet and companies at the forefront of innovations and services that will allow us all to live more sustainably.

I am truly blessed, Steve Jobs said “ the only way to do great work is to love what you do’ and I really do. I have found my purpose….. and I am just getting started.

Other than that I am a single Mum or two fabulous teenage girls, I have a very needy cat called Tulip who likes to sit on my laptop whenever I try to work, I live near Henley on Thames and just love the river…. Walking along it, swimming in it, paddleboarding on it and campaigning to clean it.

When I am not near the river you will probably find me in my veg patch, talking to my plants drinking organic coffee wearing factor 50 sunscreen even on a cloudy day!

That’s me …. In a nutshell.

I am also hugely passionate about my 'Warriors on Waste' movement which now has a website all of its own warriorsonwaste.co.uk.

The aim of 'Warriors on Waste' is to teach the next generation of mini upcyclers how important and fun it is to upcycle and turn trash into treasure. I want to inspire children to be better caretakers of this wonderful planet. I teach about plastic pollution and sustainability and have visited many schools on my 'Saving Nemo Tour'.

I am very honoured to be an Ambassador for the British Heart Foundation Furniture Shops, promoting the #reuserevolution.

I took on the challenge of designing and styling a whole house using only things from a British Heart Foundation second hand shop, and working with Annie Sloan herself on a project upcycling things we found in the shops to show how stylish second hand objects can be.

I love to inspire with interiors ideas, home styling tips, easy DIYs for the home and houseplant chat all of which you can check out on my socials including stories on my pallet transformations!!!!
